The Company
Our clients are a market leader within the oil and gas industries, boasting over 30 years experience within their chosen field, due to recent expansion plans they are now looking to recruit CNC turners to join their existing machine shop team.
The Role
The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced with Fanuc and or Fagar controls used to editing programs and writing own small programs. Must be capable of thinking on your feet and solve any minor problems on the machine. Used to reading engineering drawings and be able to improve run times with speed and feeds and most important achieve quality when working to close tolerance. You will have a good engineering back ground with good sound knowledge of manufacturing methods and tooling. Experience of threading and working too API spec would be a advantage. Working on parts up to 28 feet long and 12" diameter. Used to working with 4 jaw independent chucks with DTI. Proven apprenticeship and or ONC HNC qualification.
Hours & Days:
Working 2 rotating 2 shift system consisting of a days and nights shift this client allows flexibility with starting times, however core hours are to include:-
Days Mon-Thurs - 7.6hrs Friday's - 6.6hrs with a 20 minute break
Nights – Mon-Wed – 10hrs Thursday - 8.5hrs with a 30 minute break
As a busy expanding business there is always overtime for those who are interested
About You:
For this role you will be apprentice trained with a minimum of 3 years experience of working with fagor or fanuc controls with the ability to edit programmes and trouble shoot where necessary, ideally be experience of working with the medium to heavy engineering industry on large components
