The Company
Our clients are a world class manufacturer of cast steel products serving many of the worlds leading equipment manufacturers, due to a recent increase in work load they are looking to recruit Pattern Makers
The Role
- Reading a 2-D engineering drawing and planning the most efficient way to manufacture wood or resin patterns
- The patterns are mainly flat back, model, split and core assembly in either loose or mounted format.
- Creating a prototype pattern using hand tools and static machinery such as planers, circular sanders and band saws
- Then evaluating the sample casting and rectifying the existing pattern equipment.
- Creating multiple patterns to create multi- impression moulds.
- A full understanding of contraction rates with the effects of casting geometry.
- An understanding of the role of the methods engineer.
OR
This role will initially be on a trial basis where you will be employed by Austin Banks on a temporary contract for approximately 3 months
Hours & Days: 7am-3.30pm Mon-Thurs with an early finish Friday of 1pm
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will be apprentice trained with experience of pattern making within a foundry environment
