We have an exciting opportunity available for a Highly skilled engineer Providing technical support to manufacturing operations across the site involving machining, fabrication including Super Plastic Forming, hydro bulge, hot forming and welding, chemical milling, heat treatment and processing. The ideal candidate will Solve all aspects of manufacturing problems, in real time. Improve existing methods, tooling, fixtures and process flow to optimise company profitability, reduce lead times and achieve quality specifications across the existing product portfolio. Assist in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures during new product introduction programmes to achieve cost, delivery and quality specification targets. Attend Material Review Boards and take responsibility for providing sustainable fixes to manufacturing and processing problems by implementing corrective and preventative actions. Analyse Overall Equipment Efficiency reports and facilitate improved availability and utilisation. Carry out Six Sigma green belt projects under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager. Ensure that Total Preventative Maintenance is deployed on critical equipment and processes. Carry out work-motion-time-delay studies to verify costs, lines of balance and improvement opportunities. Accurately maintain bills of material, routings and process times in the company business system ‘EFACS’.
